YOU CAN MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE
Radio Stations
We are praying and believing that God will use this Global Food Crisis Day by engaging every Christian radio station domestically and internationally in ways beyond our imagination.
Some stations will devote the entire broadcast day to this event. Other stations will air PSAs and provide promotion on their Web site. Compassion International will provide your station with a Global Food Crisis Tool Kit to help guide you through a turnkey on-air event. Below is a list of audio and scripted resources you will receive. Our goal is to make this event easy, simple, creative and successful for your station to conduct.
Large or small, we are asking your station to do something on air for the millions of suffering children around the world on March 11, 2009.
Here is how you can participate:
• Air Global Food Crisis Day radio PSAs. • Air Global Food Crisis Day radio liners. • Place Global Food Crisis Day banners on your station Web site. • E-mail blast a special Global Food Crisis Day video message to your listeners. • Broadcast a special remote from a local church or bookstore. • Have your announcers read Global Food Crisis Day script copy. • Read Global Food Crisis Day stories of children in need. • Air related songs that talk about feeding those less fortunate. • Broadcast Wess Stafford’s audio about Global Food Crisis Day. • Ask your local broadcasters to talk about Global Food Crisis Day. • Much more!
Broadcast Ministries
The goal for this Global Food Crisis Day campaign is to help relieve global suffering in Jesus’ name. We are asking for your help in dedicating a portion of your broadcast program on March 11, 2009 to talk about Global Food Crisis Day and the extreme hardship and suffering taking place around the world. Whether you can devote your entire broadcast to this cause or if you can simply tag your program with closing comments, we would appreciate anything creatively that you could do, including:
• Interview Wess Stafford on your broadcast (call to reserve). • Devote your entire March 11, 2009 broadcast to the topic of world hunger. • Tag your March 11, 2009 broadcast with a produced Global Food Crisis Day PSA. • Open and close your March 11, 2009 broadcast with info about Global Food Crisis Day. • Place Global Food Crisis Day banners on your ministry Web site. • E-mail blast a special Global Food Crisis Day video message to your mailing list.
