Days 1-2: Travel and Arrival in Thailand
We begin our adventure from Los Angles, with a late-night flight on Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong then Bangkok. Our morning arrival gives us a good amount of time to connect to Chiang Mai. And if time allow us (due to time change) we might witness a famous Thai festival!
Days 3: Compassion Thailand's office
We will begin our day by having an opportunity to visit the Thai country office and learn about the operations side of the ministry before we fly out to Tak province in the afternoon.
Days 4-6: Compassion's Programs & Learn About Our Partnership
We will visit student centers and the dedicated staff members that work with our children, and get an opportunity to worship with Thai people at one of our partner churches! Our focus will be on non-citizenship issues and see the real situations of the families that Compassion Thailand is assisting. We will also visit children at the border in Tak province and have a project visit in Phitsanulok.
Day 7: The Day We've Been Waiting for
Today is the Big Day – the reason we came all the way to Thailand! We will spend a wonderful and fun day with our sponsored children. More details on this to come!
Day 8: Tourist Activities
We will have one or two tourist activities to experience the Thai language & learn more about this country.
Day 9 LDP Student:
We will spend some time with some of our university students (LDP students). These young leaders are our future and we will be blessed with our interaction with them. Of course, we don't want to leave the country without souvenirs and remembrances of our time here, so it's off to the market. And, once again, we will board our domestic flight and return to Bangkok.
Days 10 Traveling Back Home
Our morning airline departure gives us an early afternoon arrival into Los Angeles and plenty of time to make our connections back home. We've learned so much, and our lives will never be the same…
In order to ensure our children's protection and determine eligibility to travel with Compassion, we now require all travelers (over the age of 18) to complete a criminal background check to ensure the safety of the children in our programs.
