Peru will astound you with its diversity! From the Andean mountain range, to coastal deserts, to the beautiful rainforests of the Amazon basin. Peru is home to snow-capped peaks, giant sand dunes, flocks of bright tropical birds, and postcard-perfect vistas. Be sure not to forget the food – locals argue (without bias, of course) that it's the best in the world! Fresh flavors, colorful arrangements, and delicious spices will keep you coming back for seconds!

Our journey will take us to Chiclayo where big-hearted people eager to share their warmth, fervent gusto and deep joy for life will welcome you. It's no wonder, then, that the land of the Incas is one of South America's top picks for all types of travelers!

However, poverty is casting a shadow over the hope and sustainability of this beautiful land. 36% of the population is currently living under the poverty line. This is why Compassion has found a wonderful connection with the local Church here. Partnering with the Church, loving on the Peruvian children and empowering the community to experience freedom from poverty are the goal of Compassion's ministry. Child development is the vehicle for releasing these young ones from the grip poverty holds.

Come and be a part of it all on our sponsor tour to Peru this coming May! On this trip you will experience:

  • Meeting the children who regularly attend Compassion's program as we visit multiple student centers.
  • Enjoy a Church service with an Implementing Church Partner
  • Spend an entire day with your sponsored child at a fun location for you both to enjoy!
  • Meet Leadership Development Students who have graduated from our development program and are pursuing higher education at university in their home country,
  • Serve, love, engage, and grow! There is so much opportunity to be stretched in your faith and encourage others.

Come and join fellow sponsors, dedicated staff, and committed Advocates as we see first-hand the miracle of the work of the Church in action! You won't want to miss it!
