Many people live their lives waiting for the miracles to happen but few take the step to be the miracle. Make the decision today to be that miracle for someone else. Join the Nicaragua Sponsor Trip and be the miracle of love for your sponsored child. Our trip will take us into Managua, the grand capital of Nicaragua. Come see the beautiful volcanic mountains and the lush jungle terrain as well as the beautiful smiling faces of the children in each center we visit.
Amongst the beauty of this country lies the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. However, this does not change the joy seen in the faces of these children. Join us as we visit the Child Development Centers in the rural and urban areas of Managua, to play with the children, meet their families, and learn more about them and their lifestyles. Meet with the staffs of Compassion that make your sponsorship possible every day.
A full day is set aside during our tour for the main reason many of you sign up for this trip, to meet your sponsored child and spend quality time with them. Along with a personal translator, you and your child will enjoy a full day of hugs and relationship-building which will create lifetime memories. Please prayerfully consider joining us on this adventure to Nicaragua.

Our journey begins as we depart from Miami in the evening of our first day. Upon arrival we will meet the awesome staff that will be hosting us. Saturday, September 21: Getting to know Compassion Nicaragua
With our hearts stirred to put our faith into action, we will visit a Child Development Center in Managua and see how poverty impacts the children and their families and how the incredible staff that works with these children implements the ministry of Compassion. You will minister to these children through various activities and provide memories to last a lifetime for all involved.
Sunday, September 22: Expand Your Heart
We will begin by enjoying Sunday morning worship, Nicaraguan style, with our brothers and sisters in Christ at a church that Compassion partners with in ministry. We will enjoy a lively service along with the children, hugging them as you sit among them. We will spend time with the children and people from the community and learn more about this beautiful country and its people.
Monday, September 23: Connecting with the Child You are Releasing from Poverty
The day you have been waiting for has arrived. This day the child you sponsor will be brought to the area where we are staying and we’ll spend an entire day blessing, encouraging and playing with them. You and your child will be accompanied by your own personal translator, so language is not a barrier. This will be a day you won’t soon forget and that is likely to change you in ways you never expected!
Tuesday, September 24: Bringing our Experience to a close
Another visit to a Child Development Center and more hugs and kisses from the beautiful children. You will see them in their classrooms and join in their daily activities. You can expect to learn more about how Compassion works and the lasting impact it makes in the life of every child. You will experience the love of Christ through these children.
Wednesday, September 25: We return to Miami for our return flights home
After several days of immersing ourselves in the beauty and grandeur of this beautiful country, tasting a bit of the culture through our visits to the Compassion Child Development Centers, and investing in the lives of children, it is time to return to our lives back home. Yet, as we return our outlook on poverty and our response to it returns with us to fan into flame a life-long investment as champions who work together to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name!
In order to ensure our children's protection and determine eligibility to travel with Compassion, we now require all travelers (over the age of 18) to complete a criminal background check to ensure the safety of the children in our programs.
Please visit Screening One Sponsor Tour BC to complete your online background check at the time of registration. If you are unable to complete this online, please contact us and we will send you a paper form for you to fill out and return. Compassion uses a third party vendor, Screening One to process background checks. The results of your background check are confidential and all personal information is encrypted and secure.
