Guatemala is one of the most unique countries you will ever visit. The terrain is varied, the climate is temperate, but it is the people of Guatemala that make this country so special. On this tour you will meet believers from all over the country and with us God will perform a miracle. Strangers will come together to form a wonderfully, unified ministry team. This is not unprecedented though. Jesus loves to bring people together from varied backgrounds and life experience to join Him in ministry. It is a short trip, but it will be rich in experience and impact.
On this tour, you’ll learn about Compassion’s Child Sponsorship Program and the Leadership Development Program, not from a pamphlet but face to face. We’ll roll up our sleeves and serve alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ who serve the children of Guatemala with joy and excellence. Have you ever wondered what kinds of activities your sponsored child participates in when he/she attends the child development program? Well, you will experience that too
Often sponsors have told me, “I thought the Lord called me to Guatemala to be a blessing and to bring words of encouragement to the staff there, but instead they blessed me more than words can even express.”
Sure to be a highlight, of course, will be the time you get to spend with the child you sponsor. You’ll also meet a representative from his/her child development center who can fill you in on the unique aspects of your child’s community, their participation in the student center and challenges they face to equip you to pray and write even more effectively when you return. I can assure you, your sponsored child/children are eager to meet you! Believe it or not, you are an answer to their most fervent prayers.
We’ll make all the arrangements and plan every detail, the only thing missing now... is you!
These short sponsor tours fill up extremely quickly, so don’t delay. Sign up today!
RESERVATIONS should be made well in advance and require a nonrefundable deposit of $180.00 per person. Final Payment of $2070.00 is due no later than 4/2/2012.

To make the most of this opportunity, we’ll meet up at our departure gate in Miami, Florida for a morning flight to Guatemala City. This will give us time to travel and still have plenty of time to enjoy our first full day in Guatemala. We’ll travel directly to our Compassion Guatemala office to meet the team who is transforming this beautiful country, one child at a time. Then, we are off to visit our first child development center.
Friday, July 20
Over the next few days we’ll spend time in ministry together. Whether we prepare a vacation bible school type program or come alongside to paint or clean, it will be such a blessing to serve together and encourage our church family in Guatemala who serve the precious children here day in and day out. Along the way you’ll learn how Compassion works in the lives of children through holistic child development. We’ll also meet some of the heroes of Compassion, young adults who are part of Compassion’s Leadership Development Program.
Saturday, July 21
Saturday will be a day you won’t ever forget... the sponsor/child fun day! All the children we sponsor will be on hand for the whole day and will be very eager to meet you. We’ll have fun at a local attraction that offers: entertainment, open spaces to play, and quiet places to talk together. One thing is for sure – this will be a day that will build memories to last a lifetime!
Sunday, July 22
What better way to wrap up a great experience, than to spend time in corporate worship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We’ll visit one of our church partners for the service and then spend time in ministry together after lunch. We will also have our farewell dinner and an opportunity to share what the Lord has taught us this week.
Monday, July 23
Our team returns to Miami, Florida early in the morning so that you can catch the next available flights home. This will allow those with work obligations to be home as early as possible in preparation for the rest of the work week.

If you are unable to complete this online, please contact us and we will send you a paper form for you to fill out and return.
