El Salvador might be the smallest country in Central America, but it is well worth exploring. Newcomers are frequently surprised by its’ stunning volcanic landscape, and quickly warm to the openness of its lovely people. This tiny tropical land is bursting with natural attractions, including National Parks, volcanic lakes and impressive beaches; it's a place of remarkable warmth and intelligence, made all the more appealing for being so unexpected to it’s visitors. Once you’ve experienced it you’ll be sure to come back. With it’s beautiful landscape there is also the contrast of the need and poverty, which will grip your heart and keep you coming back for more. Compassion has a long history of commitment here and the joy in the faces of the children will reinforce that in your trip experience. You will see it all for yourself when we:
- Visit a Child Development Center to play and interact with the children
- See the impact of the Child Survival Program by visiting babies and young mothers
- Meet the staff, pastors, and teachers who work diligently to implement Compassion’s program
- And spend an entire day with your sponsored child!
Sign up now to reserve your spot and prepare for an experience that will change your life forever. Nothing communicates the value and importance of your child’s relationship with you than meeting them and sharing life together! Join us, won’t you?

Day 2-3: Connecting with Compassion & Children
Thursday, June 27th: In the morning we will visit a nearby Child Development Center and meet the staff and children who attend there. What an incredible opportunity to play and share life together. Today will be all about understanding more of Compassion’s program and what part you play in rescuing children from poverty as committed sponsors.
Friday, June 28th: Today we visit another student center and have the opportunity to meet the brave women and their beautiful babies from our Child Survival Program – this experience will remind you that we are not only developing children but intervening with education and care when children are most vulnerable – as little ones. Interact and hear the hearts of these moms as you soak up quality time and experience a “Day in the Life” with them at their homes. Tonight we will hear from university students in our Leadership Development Program over dinner. Listen as they share their testimonies of how Compassion is changing their lives and developing future leaders.
Day 4: Child Fun Day!

Day 5: Returning Home
Sunday, June 30th: We depart in the morning on Taca flight #310 at 9 AM to return to Miami and catch our connections home to friends and family. We arrive into Miami at 1:30 PM and say goodbye to our newfound family. What an incredible experience we’ve shared!
In order to ensure our children's protection and determine eligibility to travel with Compassion, we now require all travelers (over the age of 18) to complete a criminal background check to ensure the safety of the children in our programs. Please visit Screening One Sponsor Tour BC to complete your online background check at the time of registration. If you are unable to complete this online, please contact us and we will send you a paper form for you to fill out and return. Compassion uses a third party vendor, Screening One to process background checks. The results of your background check are confidential and all personal information is encrypted and secure.
RESERVATIONS should be made well in advance and require a nonrefundable deposit of $180.00 per person. The final payment of $2470 is due no later than 4/15/2013.
