Many children in need wonder if they matter. Poverty lies to them — telling them they are hopeless. Your relationship with your sponsored child replaces the lies of poverty with truth. And nothing speaks this truth more boldly than a face-to-face visit from you, your child’s sponsor.

Imagine the look on your child’s face when he/she realizes you have traveled miles just to see him/her! Your visit will help your child feel valued and loved. And on your trip you can spread this same message of encouragement to other children we will meet along the way.

When was the last time a vacation truly changed you or your family? Please join us on this Compassion Sponsor Tour to Colombia and experience a one-of-a-kind adventure that will change your life forever. On a sponsor tour, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Grow spiritually as you connect with God’s heart for the poor.
  • Join with other believers to bring God’s message of love and hope to children and the tutors who disciple them.
  • Make friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
  • Discover the unique beauty of another country and culture.
  • Personally share with your child that he/she is loved by you and by his/her heavenly Father, who has a unique plan and purpose for every child.
  • Bond with your child in a new way during a “child fun day” at an exciting venue like a zoo or amusement park.

Most children dream of meeting their sponsor — the person who is changing their lives. You can make this dream a reality. This trip is sure to fill up quickly with sponsors just like you who have a vested interest in this part of the country, so be sure to register soon!

Safety and Preparation: This tour will be moderate in difficulty because of impoverished conditions. Also, there will be some walking, rides on bumpy roads, and long days. We will have a light work element in this tour.

Compassion constantly monitors the safety of our destination countries and will make any adjustments necessary to protect our tour participants, sponsored children and in-country staff. We believe it is important to provide safe, comfortable accommodations, traditional meals and reliable transportation so that your focus can be on what God is teaching you and the impact of the experience rather than concern for your personal safety and well-being.

Please visit Screening One Sponsor Tour BC to complete your online background check at the time of registration.  If you are unable to complete this online, please contact us and we will send you a paper form for you to fill out and return.  Compassion uses a third party vendor, Screening One to process background checks.  The results of your background check are confidential and all personal information is encrypted and secure.
