Recife is the “reef” city located on the northeastern coast of beautiful Brazil. This port city, surrounded by colonial churches, old world streets and market that quilt the landscape with a feeling of both the old and the new, will provide a beautiful backdrop to our sponsor tour!
Brazil’s international tourism speaks to it being the strongest economy in Latin America. However, poverty is widespread in Brazil. Despite recent improvements in wealth distribution, the issues of income inequality remain at the root of rural poverty. In fact, rural areas prove to be the poorest conditions in Latin America. This is why Compassion has spent over 25 years developing the children in this area and the rural areas surrounding the city of Recife.
Come and see the work of Compassion! Come and hear the laughter of the children! Come and spend time with your beloved sponsored child and deepen the beautiful relationship you share with them! We will explore not only the invaluable partnership YOU lend to the ministry of Compassion but we’ll also see the dedicated work of the country staff, pastors, project volunteers and tutors at the centers where the children attend. Come meet the families, bring yours along and prepare to understand gratefulness in the season of Thanksgiving that will remain with you forever! This is an amazing opportunity. Come and see it all for yourself!
