Former Vice President of Strategy Integration
Mike joined Compassion International in 2002 and has been a member of the Global Leadership Team since 2008. He is responsible for overseeing the leadership of Compassion’s four Core Ministries as well as Strategy Management, Global Brand, Culture Development and Internal Communication to Compassion’s global staff.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Mike received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and an Engineering License from Michigan Technological University. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian education and a master’s degree in the holistic development of families from Concordia University.
Mike has served on the Board of Directors for the Group Work Camp Foundation since 2007. His prior roles at Compassion have included ministry in the Sponsor Tours department and as the Director of the Leadership Development Program.
Mike and his wife Melissa have three children. He is an avid runner and enjoys snow skiing, camping with his family and reading, especially books devoted to leadership.
