Jeffrey Wood

Jeff's call to ministry in Christian organizations began in high school. Jeff has been professionally involved in Christian ministry since the early 1980's and has a real sense of the needs of God's people. His first ministry experience was with Christian Service Brigade, Inc., where he served as chief administrative officer and treasurer. Jeff joined Compassion International in 1989, serving as accounting director. Since that time he has also played leadership roles in Information Technology, Corporate Planning, Corporate Project Management and the Global Strategy Office. Jeff is currently Sr. Vice President of Ministry Services.

As Sr. Vice President of Ministry Services, Jeff led the Revised Organizational Structure project. This project was implemented to determine the changes needed in order for Compassion to keep up with the continuing double-digit growth and the diversification in multiple ministries.

From 1994 to 1999 Jeff led Compassion's Information Technology division during the development of COMPASS, Compassion's Online Ministry Program and Administration Support System–an integrated computer application. In March 2001, Jeff assumed responsibility for Corporate Planning.

In addition to his professional ministry involvement, Jeff has been deeply involved in the leadership of the two churches that he has attended over the last three decades. In Wheaton, Illinois he actively served at First Baptist Church of Wheaton on the Board of Trustees, including two terms as chairman. After moving to Colorado Springs over 20 years ago, Jeff has been active in Front Range Alliance Church and has served on the Governing Board of Elders as Church Treasurer for more than 15 years.

Jeff has a wide realm of educational experience, beginning at Wheaton College where he received his B.A in Economics in 1979. Since that time he has continued his education in accounting, business and information technology with courses from Elmhurst College, DePaul University, and Keller Graduate School. Jeff has also attended project management classes at Stanford University and received his SCPM (Stanford Certified Project Manager) certification. He and his wife, Carol, have three children.
