Cassandra Shepard joined Compassion's ministry in 2010 and currently serves as the senior vice president of the Global Leadership Office. Within this role she is responsible for facilitating and equipping the Global Executive Team¹s development of high-level strategy, organizational design and development, holistic staff development, global internal communications, and executive office operations.
She brings a robust breadth and depth of leadership experience to Compassion, having transformed teams and business results through the effective use of human resources at prominent companies including Pepsi-Cola and T-Mobile.
Cassandra’s heart for helping children runs deep. She joined Compassion from Colorado Springs School District 11 where she lead the human resources function for 1,800 of the district’s staff as they helped 29,000 students achieve academic success that equipped students for success today and in the future.
She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from California State University, Fresno and is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources. Cassandra obtained a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Global Executive Program. Her integrated learning experience across the world’s most compelling economic regions focused not only on advanced business management expertise but also on each region’s unique social, historical and cultural issues that are relevant to Compassion’s operations.
In addition to her professional and educational qualifications, Cassandra has proven herself to be an engaging leader who is capable of fostering strong relationships and effectively collaborating at all levels of the organization. She is deeply committed to putting these talents and skills to work in releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Cassandra has three children and enjoys their family time as well as reading and interior design.
