Through the Compassion Internship Program you'll have the opportunity to put your calling to work while being immersed in a Christian workplace culture that will empower success for future endeavors.
Compassion International is an environment in which your ardor to help relieve children in poverty will be developed while you gain valuable professional and personal experience. Educational credit requirements may be met while serving in this capacity. Interns are matched with positions compatible with current majors, providing relevant experience and providing opportunities to be more marketable in their field of choice. Upon successfully completing the Compassion Internship Program, opportunities exist for current available positions, thus potentially launching a fulfilling career at Compassion International. In addition, Compassion International's Global Ministry Center is located in the beautiful mountainous region of Colorado, where numerous adventures await!
Internship Overview
- Who? Undergraduate students with a minimum of 60 semester credit hours and a cumulative 3.3 GPA (no longer than one year postgraduate date). Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States. Accepting only 20 interns.
- What? Paid internship consisting of four-day work weeks (Monday-Thursday) for 10 weeks @ $8.65 per hour. Fridays will rotate between scheduled volunteer work, three-day weekends off, and optional extra paid work days. Internship compatible with most college degree programs.
- Where? Compassion International's Global Ministry Center, Colorado Springs, Colo.
- When? May 25 – July 31, 2009. Optional "Encounter" trip available to a Compassion-assisted program in Mexico Aug. 1-5 to see Compassion's work firsthand. Students must raise their own funds.
