Compassion El Salvador has provided final information about the strong winds and cold temperatures that affected the western part of the country on March 2, 2013.

The weather conditions have improved and the affected communities have returned to normal activities. A total of 126 Compassion-assisted families with children attending Huellitas de Jesus Student Center (ES-860), Kairos Student Center (ES-795), La Uncion Student Center (ES-845), Mensajeros de Misericordia Student Center (ES-888), El Sembrador Student Center (ES-893), and Belen Student Center (ES-908) have been affected. The homes of these children were damaged by the strong winds. The centers provided temporary shelter and blankets to the affected children and their families.

Praise the Lord for His protection and care of our Compassion-assisted families in western El Salvador.

Compassion El Salvador will keep us updated as more information is available.
