Compassion Nicaragua has provided more information about the dengue fever outbreak in their country.

Four additional children from Elegidos de Jesus Student Center (NI-257) and Gedeones del Reino Student Center (NI-261) have been hospitalized and are receiving treatment. So far, 68 children have been affected. Compassion Nicaragua is using disaster relief funding to provide children from NI-257, NI-261, NI-262, NI-263, NI-264, and NI-266 with mosquito nets and repellent. The centers are working with the national health ministry to coordinate a cleaning day in the communities and to provide training for the parents and staff members.

Please ask the Lord to provide healing for those who are sick and to protect those who have not contracted dengue fever.

Compassion Nicaragua will keep us updated as more information is available.
