Several Compassion-assisted child development centers in eastern Indonesia have recently been affected by volcanic ash from a recently erupted volcano located on Halmahera island.

Staff members distributed face masks to all Compassion-assisted families living near ID-301, ID-305, ID-310, ID-311, ID-317, ID-318 and ID-319.

Please pray for the families and communities located near the volcano. Continue to pray for the Lord’s protection over all Compassion-assisted families in eastern Indonesia.

Compassion East Indonesia will keep us updated as more information is available.

Compassion International will contact you if your sponsored child has been affected.
