An outbreak of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) has occurred in the northern provinces of Thailand since the beginning of July, 2012.
Twelve children from the Rom-prakun Child Survival Program (TH-CS3) were diagnosed with HFMD. These children received medical treatment and almost all the children have recovered. Children in the community near the Sa Man Sa Mak Kee Sukhothai Student Center (TH-970) have also been treated for HFMD.
Please pray for the Lord’s protection and care of our Compassion-assisted families in the northern provinces of Thailand. Please pray for a healthy recovery of those children who have been diagnosed with HFMD.
Compassion Thailand will keep us updated as more information is available.
