Heavy rains caused flooding in western Thailand on July 29, 2013.
Currently, two children from Sanklaburi Children and Youth Development Center (TH-276) have been affected. The homes of these children’s families have been destroyed, and the center has provided them temporary shelter. TH-276 has temporarily suspended program activities due to the flooding and the loss of electricity. No children attending Mae Sod The First Church Child Development Center (TH-940) have been affected; however, center staff members are closely monitoring flood levels and have helped to transport children to the center.
Please pray for the safety and protection of the children and staff members who live in the flooded area of Thailand.
Compassion Thailand will keep us updated as more information is available.
