Heavy rains caused rivers, canals and sewage systems to overflow in Colombo on May 6, 2013.
Two families from Arunodayapura Child Development Center (LK-104) and Calvary Rajagiriya Child Survival Program (LK-CS5) had to seek temporary shelter. Currently, no homes in the area have been damaged. The staff members have provided meals to these families.
Please pray that the heavy rains will stop and flooding will cease in Colombo. Please continue to lift up all of our Compassion-assisted families in Sri Lanka in prayer.
Compassion Sri Lanka will keep us updated as more information is available.
