Heavy rains caused flooding in the cities of San Pedro Sula and El Progreso, Honduras, on November 27, 2012. The rivers in these cities have overflowed.
Families are staying in churches and community centers for temporary shelter. Families from Vinedo Child Development Center (HO-341), CDI Ninez Con Proposito (HO-362), and CDI Campeones del Rey (HO-372) have been affected.
Compassion Honduras is using our complementary interventions disaster funding to provide emergency kits to the affected families. These emergency kits include food, blankets and hygiene items.
Please pray for the Lord’s protection and care of our beneficiaries in San Pedro Sula and El Progreso.
Compassion Honduras will keep us updated as more information is available.
