Advisory: Flooding in Bolivia

Advisory: Flooding in Bolivia

  |   Posted: February 12, 2010

For the past several weeks, heavy rains in Bolivia have caused flooding in Santa Cruz and Cochabamba.

Many rivers have overflowed, destroying crops and homes.

According to the Civil Defense Minister, more than 25,000 families have been affected by the rains, and at least 10 people have died.

More than 10 Compassion-assisted children from BO-348 have lost homes and belongings and are temporarily staying at schools.

The center is providing mosquito nets, beds and mattresses to the affected families.

Please pray for the Lord's protection over the children and their families. Pray the Lord will provide abundantly to those in need and restore to each family the things that were lost.

Compassion Bolivia will keep us updated as more information is available.

Compassion International will contact you if your sponsored child has been affected.
