Heavy rains caused flooding near the city of Chittagong, Bangladesh, on June 26, 2012. While rains have stopped as of June 28, flooding remains a problem for the communities in this area. Currently, 97 children from child development centers BD-501, BD-502, BD-509, BD-510, BD-511, BD-515, BD-516 and BD-518 have been affected. The homes of these children were damaged and the families lost personal belongings. The affected families have been provided with food and water. Some families from BD-501 and BD-502 sought shelter in these Compassion-assisted centers. Please pray for the affected families whose homes were damaged by the flooding. Continue to pray for the care and protection for our beneficiaries living near Chittagong. Compassion Bangladesh will keep us updated as more information is available.
