An outbreak of the Ebola virus has been affecting Uganda since the end of July. As a precaution, the national government has prohibited public gatherings in the affected areas.

Currently, no Compassion beneficiaries have been diagnosed with the virus. However, two child development centers, the Buhimba Child Development Center (UG-428) and the Kabwoya Child Development Center (UG-431), are located within 9 to 12 miles of the virus epicenter.

Please pray for the protection and care of our Compassion-assisted families in Uganda who are facing this virus. Please pray for healing for those who have contracted the virus.

Compassion Uganda will keep us updated as more information is available.
