Advisory: Earthquake Hits Mexico - July 2014

  |   Posted: July 10, 2014   |   Updated: July 10, 2014

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Mexico on July 7, 2014. The earthquake was also felt in Guatemala. Communities in the Chiapas area, including the city of Tapachula, have reported that some roads and houses were damaged. Mudslides have also occurred in areas.

Currently there is no information available about how our beneficiaries and church partners have been affected. Compassion Mexico will keep us updated as more information is available.

Please pray for the communities who have been affected by the earthquake, and for the Lord's protection and care of the children and families that are located in Chiapas.
