UPDATE: April 26, 2010 - The five child development centers that were damaged by the cyclone in eastern India continue to operate normally.
Additional Compassion-assisted children from four child development centers have reported their homes were damaged in the cyclone.
At this time, affected families are in makeshift homes with basic supplies being provided by the local community. Children are attending the child development centers.
Please pray for the Lord's provision for those who lost belongings or whose homes were damaged. Pray that the children and families will turn to the Lord in this time of need.

UPDATE: April 19, 2010 - Compassion staff has been assessing the damage done by the cyclone that hit areas of eastern India.
So far, it has been reported that children from three of the five affected centers have had damage to their homes:

April 15, 2010 - Recently, a cyclone hit districts in West Bengal and Bihar in eastern India.
The storm damaged many homes as well as uprooting trees and damaging telephone and electrical lines.
