Cold temperatures have been severely affecting Compassion beneficiaries in rural Bangladesh since late December. Recent rains have made the situation worse. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicts temperatures to drop more in the next few days.
Winter affects the livelihood of farmers and day laborers forcing many to remain idle. As a result parents are not able to afford warm clothes and bedding for themselves and their children.
At this time, 15 church partners are affected. Church staff are visiting beneficiary homes to assess their needs.
Please pray for warmer temperatures in this area and for God's peace and provision for everyone affected.
