Describe your family life: My family life is wonderful. My younger sister, Julianne Pereira, is taking an apprenticeship as an auxiliary teacher at a school in the neighborhood to help with the income of our family. She also participates in the Compassion child development center. My stepfather Antonio came to live with us two years ago. I consider him a father to me because he is always there to help me in difficult moments. I also have a cousin who is 11 years old called Vitoria. She has been living with us for one year. She previously lived with my grandma but grandma died in February. My father does not live with us but thank God, I never lost the contact with him. We always talk to each other. In the mornings, I leave with Juliana to work as a telemarketer. My stepfather Antonio has a small furniture store. We all go to work except for my mother who stays home with my cousin and takes care of the house. That is how my life works. I have God alone to thank for the life that He has given me.

Describe your childhood community environment: Initially, my childhood was quite sad because my parents did not understand each other and began to have arguments. The separation came and it was quite difficult, but soon after we overcame all the tribulation and things began to improve little by little. The community where I live is called Granja Portugal. It is a calm neighborhood. There are no gangs or drug users and thefts are very rare. It is a very good place to live. I have lived there for a long time and I know a lot of people. My church and child development center is very close by. All of this makes my community a good place to live.

List your personal interests and hobbies: I have a great interest in athletics. I also enjoy walking on the beach, going to rehearsals and working. I also love to go out with friends and visit new places.

List one of your overall goals for each category below:
Academic: I will graduate in physiotherapy in the sporting area.
Economic/professional: I want to graduate and in the future own my own clinic.
Physical: I intend to practice athletics to return to good physical shape again.
Social: I intend to make new friendships in the LDP and at the university this year. I will work to have more people know God.
Spiritual: I want to get closer to this wonderful God by participating in the events of the church. I also want to learn more about the one that gave His life for me and is providing me with this unique moment in my life.

Did you select your course of study or was it assigned to you? Selected

General Comments: I would like to finish by thanking you for all the opportunities that you are providing me. This is truly a wonderful and unique moment in my life. I know this program will change my life. May God bless us all.
