Why partner? It’s a good question and one that deserves serious consideration. At Compassion we believe partnership should be a two way street, a mutually beneficial relationship. We believe that your partnership with Compassion will benefit your ministry in at least three core ways, it will:
Broaden your ministry
With Compassion, your ministry can have an international impact. Partnering with Compassion gives you the chance to go global. When you advocate for the poor and encourage your audience to respond, you help to directly meet the needs of children in 26 countries around the world. Compassion gives you the chance to feed a boy in India and share the gospel with a girl in Ecuador all in the same night. In addition we believe your partnership with Compassion will give you greater insight into God’s heart for the poor.
Engage your audience
If your goal is simply to entertain your audience and sell merchandise, then a partnership with Compassion is probably not for you. However, if your desire is to engage your audience, to challenge and motivate them to think beyond themselves then a partnership with Compassion gives you invaluable resources. By partnering with Compassion you have the opportunity to enable your audience to care for the poor directly. You can be confident in knowing that Compassion is committed to effective ministry and financial integrity.
Deepen your purpose
We know that what you do is a calling. We also know there are times when life on the road is a challenge. As a communicator you experience your share of highs and lows. There are incredible nights when you know beyond a doubt you are doing what you were created to do. And there are those nights when you find yourself wondering, “Is this really worth it?” Many of our ambassadors have shared with us that it is their partnership with Compassion that enables them to consistently answer YES to that question. We hope Compassion’s Ambassador program will give your ministry a deeper sense of purpose. You can know that night after night you are taking the opportunity to actively care for the poor, extending the reach of your ministry far beyond the walls of your venue. By partnering with Compassion you are directly responding to the call of of Proverbs 31:8-9 to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves … Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor.”
Why Compassion Partners With Ambassadors
Compassion has experienced explosive growth over the years. A great deal of that growth originated from Compassion Ambassadors’ passionate and convincing presentations at conferences, concerts, festivals and tours. Time and time again we have seen that it is God who produces growth and that God employs the voices of His people to do it. Much as Paul told the church at Corinth in 1 Corinthians 1:6, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow,” we’re convinced that God uses a variety of people in a variety of ways to accomplish the work of His kingdom. Because our good friends represent Compassion when they travel, thousands of children have been sponsored at hundreds of events across North America, Europe and Australia. As much as it is ours, the work of Compassion also belongs to ambassadors and volunteers who are every bit as much Compassion as the staff who labor worldwide. You take Compassion where we could not otherwise go, communicating in a voice we could not duplicate with people we would not otherwise meet. Because of what you do, we can do what we do.
