Pastor Yekoyada Mugerwa Lukwago is changing Kitimbwa as he serves the children in Jesus’ name. This church oversees a Compassion child development program and is looking to partner with a church in the U.S.

  • Mukono Diocese started St. Andrew’s Church of Uganda, Kitimbwa to reach out to the spiritual and physical needs of the community.

  • They are actively spreading the news about Jesus Christ and ministering to the needs of the poor.

  • St. Andrew’s Church of Uganda, Kitimbwa has partnered with Compassion since 1998.

  • Health seminars are offered to the community.

  • Children learn and grow in a safe environment.

  • Attitudes and mentalities of the children have improved positively and they are gaining confidence.

  • Many in the community are hearing about God’s love through the outreach and partnership between St. Andrew’s Church and Compassion.
