César Antonio (Tony) Beltran Morales is the first graduate of Compassion's Dominican Republic Leadership Development Program. He graduated with a degree in computer engineering from Central East University.
At age 7 he had started attending the Compassion-assisted program in the child development center of a local church, and began a childhood-long development process that changed the course of his life.
Tony is currently pursuing his graduate studies at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where he was one of three students to receive the Wess Stafford Scholarship.
He plans to use this graduate degree to influence the teenagers of his country with the power of the gospel of Christ. He wants to let them know that there is hope in Jesus and being under His control they can fulfill any plan God has for them. Like he says — poverty does not intimidate me anymore!
