Edouard Lassegue is the Vice President of the Latin America and Caribbean Region for Compassion International. Prior to this he served as the Country Director for Haiti for eleven years, and Associate Area Director and Area Director for the Central America and Caribbean area for four years.
Edouard was born and raised in Haiti in a Catholic family. At the age of 13 he started attending a neighborhood Bible club where he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He became a leader in the club and learned to teach and preach there.
Upon his high school graduation he received a scholarship to study in America where he graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.A. degree in Bible education and a M.S. degree in educational administration and supervision, after which he started and pastored a church in Haiti for 17 years.
