Anthony was born in the third largest slum in Kenya and was registered in a Compassion project at the age of 6, “mistakenly” in place of his cousin. Even though he was punished by his mother for attending, he continued because he learned at the project that someone loved him no matter where he came from and that gave him hope and the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through LDP his desire to know God and live according to His Word grew and transformed him into a leader who values other people and wants to impact their lives. While attending university and working on a degree in Computer Technology, he started a computer club as well as a student union which provided a channel of dialog between the students and the administration that at one point prevented a student riot.
Anthony’s desire is to work with youth leaders in churches in the areas of evangelism and discipleship with the goal of raising up leaders in his country who would honor and fear God and lead with integrity. He also hopes to work with local governments to restore integrity, transparency, and justice in the management of public resources for all people. He currently attends Denver Seminary and is working toward a Masters Degree in Professional Leadership which he hopes will help to equip him to accomplish his dreams.
