Compassion's Summer Family Event: Step Into My Shoes

Step into the shoes of a child living in poverty.

"Step Into My Shoes" is a fun, fast-paced, interactive event that will take place on select dates in June, July and August from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Compassion Global Ministry Center in Colorado Springs.

Let Compassion International come alongside you as you teach your family to step outside their own world and into the world of children in poverty. Join us for this half day event that will encourage dinner table talks and car ride conversations. This opportunity will make a difference in your lives so that you can make a difference in others’ lives.

This FREE interactive program will be offered 8 times this summer. We need to cap this experience at 90 people a day. So please register now!

During this FREE half day event your family will:
sandals in muddy water
Experience a day in the life of a child being released from poverty.

As you search for clean water, gather firewood and find materials for shelter, your family will begin to learn about the daily basic struggles of children growing up in poverty.

smiling child
Work, play, and learn in an interactive environment.

Basic survival and daily life activities are only half the experience, other activities include: playing with handcrafted toys and learning songs in other languages.

children praying
Meet children who are a part of Compassion's program.*

Through a live video stream, you and your family will also "visit" a Compassion child development center, share questions, and interact with the children whose lives are being transformed.

* This is a first-time event for Compassion. As we are attempting to connect with children in a developing country - the live video stream may not occur due to unforeseen circumstances and/or technical difficulties.
