The Needs
Needs of children in poverty include physical, educational, socio-economic and spiritual development:
-
- to love, be loved and belong to a community
- adequate food, clean water and shelter
- physical and emotional security
- vocational training to generate income
- access to medical care
Neglect of children includes physical, mental and emotional abuse.
Nurture of children involves addressing the whole child and engaging children the way Jesus did. The potential of children is all their God-given gifts that are waiting to be released. We have been placed in the world to enable this release.
