African Drought Survival

Right now, in northeastern Africa, an estimated 12 million people are suffering from a serious drought, causing malnutrition in almost 40 percent of children under age 5. Compassion’s long-term programs have helped families in hard-hit areas of Uganda to weather droughts by teaching them to grow their own food. Your gift can be part of the continuing success story by helping the caregivers of Compassion-assisted children in African countries get similar training so that their families can face escalating food prices, as well as weather future droughts.

  • Step 1 - Select Gifts of Compassion that will go to people in great need.
  • Step 2 - Give your gift “in honor” of a friend or family member.
  • Step 3 - Once you select your gifts, you will be able to print your cards at home or email the cards to your honoree.

Once you select and purchase your gifts, you can choose from a variety of free greeting cards to send to your honorees.

You decide how you would like to notify your honorees:
1. Send an e-card to your honoree OR
2. Print cards at home

By sending an e-card or printing cards at home, you willl have access to many more greeting card designs and be able to send as many as you like!
