Compassion offers more than just temporary treatment. Our efforts to fight malaria are done in conjunction with our other programs to provide children with assistance in all areas of their lives, including education, health care and more. This is part of Compassion's holistic strategy that focuses on the whole child!

Another way this initiative is unique is that local church partners work with Compassion to save lives. Compassion's close relationships with these local churches offer what large programs and governments can't — a personal connection with those who are suffering. Through these relationships, churches can support victims physically and emotionally. Working with more than 1,000 church partners in Africa, Compassion's "grass-roots" system is already changing lives!

And as always, children and families served by Compassion's ministry learn about the love of Jesus Christ. They are given new beginnings, physically and spiritually.
