Edward W. Anderson
Senior Vice President / Chief Financial Officer
Ed Anderson serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to Compassion International in Colorado Springs. Joining Compassion in 1980, Ed has extensive academic and professional backgrounds that have prepared him well for his current leadership role in the field of business. Ed received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Towson State University, Maryland, and his masters of business from the University of Colorado. He has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1983.
While in high school, Ed committed his life to Christ at a Young Life Camp in Colorado. His desire then was for other young people to hear about the love of Christ. This same goal is fulfilled each day through his ministry at Compassion International.
Ed feels blessed to serve this non-profit organization in its holistic ministry to children in poverty around the world. One of his many responsibilities is to oversee the development of new organizations worldwide in joining Compassion's International Partnerships.
In addition to his work with Compassion, Ed has served on many boards and committees including Colorado Springs Christian Schools, Resource Exchange International, Gospel of Glory, Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, and Evangelical Joint Accounting Committee.
Married in 1979, Ed and his wife, Tracey, have two daughters. He is an accomplished tennis player and delights in playing whenever possible. He and his family also enjoy sailing.
