Ronald C. Mathieu was born in Oakland, California. Ron joined the Compassion Board in February 2008. He is the Executive Director of First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu. A retired Navy Captain, logistician and submariner, he has served around the world, including command of the Navy Supply Corps School (the Navy's Business College), business manager of the Submarine Force in the Pacific, and liaison officer between the United States and Great Britain. Ron served on the Georgia Governor's Military Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors of the Navy Supply Corps Foundation, and the Athens, GA Chamber of Commerce.
Ron has degrees from the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College, where he taught courses in literature. He enjoys woodcarving and golf, and traveling with Angela, his wife of 38 years. They have two grown sons and one grandson.
