    Dynamic Christian artists Geoff Moore, Caedmon's Call and Bebo Norman are partnering with Compassion International this spring to bring music and stories of hope in up to 17 American cities. The Christian concert tour, "An Evening of Compassion," begins March 7 and will also feature special guests John David Webster and Aaron Shust.

    Grammy Award winning artist and spokesperson for Compassion International Rebecca St. James is lending her voice to help defeat poverty in Africa. The Christian recording artist recently returned from a trip to Kenya and Rwanda where she taped a television special for Compassion, a long-term Christian child development ministry with whom she has been associated since 1996.

    A new poll indicates that American young adults, more than any other age group, believe they can make a difference in poverty overseas. The poll, conducted for Compassion International by the Barna Research Group, also showed an increase in giving to the poor in 2005. Officials at Compassion believe that increase was in large part a response to the numerous natural disasters that occurred around the world.
